Analogue sound is formated on vinyls and magnetic tape, with the tape the sound quality is better the thicker the tape is and the slower that it runs, analogue is assumed to be better than digital due to it being more ear friendly but a down side to it is that there isnt much memory on it compared to the memory on digital formats and they dont last as long as digital formats, but analogue also has an unlimited bandwidth.
On vinyls the sound is recorded by groves being cut into it to create waves and pick up vibrations.
